While writing an article, there are times when you need to insert a horizontal line across your post when working on WordPress.
These horizontal lines are a great way to break long posts into smaller sections which makes the post interactive and easy to read for the users. It can also be used to highlight special announcements or promotions as different parts of a page are far easier to comprehend.
Here in this blog, we attempt to dish out different ways to add a horizontal line divider in WordPress.
In order to add a horizontal when working on the WordPress block editor on has to click the (+) icon in order to add a new block as and where you want the line to be present.
Now, once this line is inserted, it is a horizontal divider which is a pale grey line and runs across the centre of the post or page.
It should be mentioned here that one can also change how this line looks once you click on the line to select the block. This is when the ‘Block’ editing panel will pop up on the right-hand side of the screen.
Also, one can change the style of the line, you need to click on the arrow which is next to Styles and this is when different options will appear for you to choose from:
You can make some of the change for horizontal line to one of these:
- A wide line that covers up with the full width of your post’s content.
- Three dots that display in the centre of your post.
The user can also change the colour of the horizontal line which is under the horizontal line under the Colour settings. One has to click on one of the options which are displayed or even use the ‘Custom colour’ link to pick any other colour.
